Summary of Position:

The Business Development Manager develops, implements, and monitors efficient commercial and business growth strategies predominantly within the bus glazing and vehicle telematics sectors. Interacts with the customer, engaging them to contribute to the successful introduction of an innovative connected car service. Specifically, the position is responsible for business development of “jack” (, an innovative windshield crack/damage sensor to help fleet managers, vehicle manufacturers, and end-users understand and mitigate the risks of damaged windshields. This position builds trustful and long-term relationships with international partners, from pre-sales contacts to post-sales follow-up. With the Marketing team, they set-up dynamic promotional plans (product, price, place, and promotion).

The Business Development Manager is responsible for preparing and implementing various capture methods for business development to ensure the growth of the business. Generates new leads, accompanying them in the adoption, and in the operation of the service: from pilot testing to large-scale deployment. Manages commercial and pricing strategies according to customer needs. This role anticipates the future needs of target market segments, gets customer insights, and communicates them to the team to drive the next product developments. Demonstrates and monitors effective implementation of business development activities. Examines business strategies and develops improvement plans to provide appropriate growth to business. Co-develops marketing plans (product, price, place, promotion) based on defined strategies, implements, and challenges them with existing prospects and customers.


  • Master’s degree, preferably in commercial management or marketing
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a sales function, as business developer or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in identifying commercial opportunities and developing from pre-sales to post-sales strong commercial relations leading to the delivery of tangible business results
  • Relevant experience in the automotive industry
  • Responsible, proactive, entrepreneurial spirit, agile, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and open to travel
  • Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital communication tools and strategies
  • Problem-solver and detail-oriented
  • Motivated & committed person, looking for a new challenge
  • Keen to learn and to develop your interpersonal capabilities
