AGC | IT Infrastructure Lead (Corporate), Elizabethtown, KY
The IT Infrastructure Lead position will support Infrastructure operations by planning, designing, developing, and maintaining efficient systems and networks for operations in AANA. Providing Level 1 and 2 application support for ongoing business operations along with IT Infrastructure is an additional area of responsibility.
- Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve IT Infrastructure issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems and investments.
- Responsible for administering and managing the day-to-day support activity for manufacturing plant environments.
- Assist with planning, execution, and overall success of Infrastructure projects according to their related deadlines and within provided budgets.
- Direct reporting to IT Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Assist in the support of integrating new enterprise applications and existing applications already present.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of on-premise IT Infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of IT Infrastructure for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing IT Infrastructure systems and networks – develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Communicate project expectations and updates to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones – track and report on deliverables
- Utilize best practices and tools for project execution and management
Acquisition & Development:
- Assist in the design, purchase and deployment of IT Infrastructure in support of plant operations.
- Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and support efforts of implementation.
- Estimate resources and submit proposals to management where changes are necessary for project support.
Operational Management:
- Provide direct-line support for manufacturing systems and services, including, but not limited to: configuration, support and management, availability, connectivity, performance, security, and protection.
- Maintain server and network infrastructure, including, but not limited to switches, desktops and servers.
- Perform direct troubleshooting and support, related to manufacturing system infrastructure and applications.
- Creates, maintains, and reports metrics associated with the performance and threshold levels of plant IT environment.
- Communication administration: user account administration, telephone monitoring operations and administration, problem determination and resolution.
- Provide telephone and desk-side support for all manufacturing applications, processes and procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations regarding status and deliverables of project.
- Aggressively manage change in project scope, avoid potential crisis, and work to support all team members and aspects of project are held accountable.
- Other duties as required.
Leadership:
- Prioritize, delegate, and manage tasks and projects within the IT department to ensure deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Acting as an escalation point; providing sufficient levels of technical know-how to assist in root cause identification and permanent resolution of issues
- Review completed activities to ensure successful achievement of the goal and compliance with standards, when applicable.
- Evaluate team members and provide necessary feedback including creating development opportunities to promote growth and efficiency.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education
- University degree in Information Technology preferred and/or (5-10+) years of equivalent work experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- Leading, monitoring, evaluating, and managing team members, as assigned.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple people, assignments, and priorities in parallel.
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of IT Infrastructure
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general systems/network management best practices.
- Working technical knowledge of current software protocols, and Internet standards.
- Extensive experience with core software applications.
- Extensive application support experience with business enterprise applications.
- Expert knowledge of networks and systems within enterprise environment.
- Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
