AGC | Project Mechanical Engineer, Bellefontaine, OH

AGC Glass Company North America, located in Bellefontaine, Ohio, fabricates high-quality automotive safety glass for automobile manufacturers located in the United States and abroad. We are searching for individuals who want to join our fast-paced, high-tech, team environment.

Summary of Position:

Coordinates all phases of mechanical equipment engineering products ensuring required specifications are met that focus on supporting production

Responsibilities:

  • Designs equipment supervises its installation and handles initial operation ensuring timeline, budget demands, and OSHA regulatory compliance are met.
  • Coordinate project staff activities relevant to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
  • Directs integration of technical activities and products.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Prepares interim and completion project reports.
  • Promote a safe, environmentally friendly, productive workplace.
  • DFMEA, project checklists and any other project documentation required.
  • Controller of all plant drawings and layouts.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Three to Five years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related field in a Manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in the use of AUTO CAD, Inventor, MS Project software.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanics and pneumatics systems
  • Experience in a problem-solving discipline such as Six Sigma or KT
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work closely with different teams and present solid solutions

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
