AGC | Production Shift Superintendent, Elizabethtown, KY
AGC Automotive Americas (AANA) is a leading supplier of automotive glazing for the OEM and aftermarket industries and is part of the AGC Group, the largest global glass supplier employing more than 50,000 worldwide in approximately 30 countries.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production activities across multiple shifts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and develop Supervisors, Team Leads and Production Staff through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with supply chain.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership may be considered.
- Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive glass, ceramics, or high-temperature materials.
- Proven track record of managing teams and improving production performance.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
