Summary of Position:

AGC Automotive located in Alabaster, AL is seeking a qualified Forklift Operators to handle materials in a safe and orderly manner and assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products.

Responsibilities:

The Forklift Operator will primarily support the following activities:

  • Stock production work cells with raw materials.
  • Operate Forklift to move materials.
  • Practice all safety guidelines, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Required to support FIFO when stocking component racks, or production work cells.
  • Must maintain a clean safety record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Support any other function.

The Forklift Operator may also support the following activities:

  • Stock production work cells with glass to produce products for sale to customers.
  • Operate Forklift to move materials to component racks.
  • Move finished goods from production work cells into either finished goods, or quality inspection areas via forklift
  • Perform Mapics transactions in support of glass movements to work cell.
  • Support the Shipping Department by loading and unloading trucks, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent and basic math, reading, and reading comprehension skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • 3 years of forklift experience is preferred.

  • Good interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
  • Possess good problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrated know-how on all paperwork.
  • Practice continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable to the changing daily production requirements.
