Summary of Position:

The HR Generalist/Assistant will work with a high level of confidentiality & integrity, the HR Generalist/Assistant will be responsible for HR administrative tasks for the Farmington Hills and Ypsilanti locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

General HR Assistance

  • Management & organization of associate files (active/term/leave/etc.)
  • Creation of office announcements & communications
  • Management of confidential associate files
  • Assisting with the creation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Assisting with HR reporting & analysis
  • Updating organizational charts
  • Maintaining HR documents on SharePoint site
  • Collect, consolidate, and prepare monthly headcount reports for Auto N.A.
  • Coordination of training & meetings

Employee Relations / Engagement

  • Assist with recruiting, transitions, and exits from organization
  • Deliver new hire on-boarding
  • Answering of general benefit / payroll questions
  • Assistance with employee engagement survey actions
  • Assistance with associate social events

Recruitment

  • Creation and management of job descriptions 
  • Prepare recruiting documents and facilitate approval processes
  • Posting of jobs internally & externally
  • Reviewing & filtering of resumes

General Office Assistance

  • Inventory and order kitchen supplies
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Collect and distribute incoming US Mail
  • Support Farmington Hills Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred, HR internship experience a plus 
  • 1-2 years as HR intern or HR assistant
  • Confidential, high integrity & professional
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to anticipate and act
  • Detail oriented
