Summary of Position:
Manage and lead the commercial relationship with customer and account activities. Negotiate and obtain new business award from customer, front loading promotion of new products. Maintain and grow business while improving account profitability.

Responsibilities:
Customer Relationships:
- Responsible for maintaining/improving the relationship with existing customers and with new departments within existing customers
- Actively participates in the process of building new customer relationships
Mid-Long Term Strategy:
- Supports the creation of Mid-term Plans and key performance indicators
Sourcing:
- Supports the creation of the Global Sourcing Strategy
- Responsible for:
- Local Sourcing Strategy
- Front-Loading Activity
- Quotation Development and Presentation
- Negotiations with Customers
- Sourcing Result Analysis
- Supporting VE / VA Activity (if applicable)
New Model Development:
- Approves:
- Pre-Production Phase and Mass Production Price Change
- Prototype & Pre-production Trial Order Preparation
- Supports:
- ROS & Price Tracking
- Production Preparation
- Mass Production Preparation (Commercial)
- Tooling invoice request and payment confirmation
Mass Production:
- Responsible for APR Negotiation
- Supports:
- Value Up Activity
- VE / VA Activity
- Customer Scorecard Maintenance and Reporting
- Service Parts
- Quality & Delivery Issues
- EOP Preparation
Leadership Competencies
- Hands-on Leader supporting builds and trials at internal and customer manufacturing sites and supporting Engineering team when needed.
- Ability to influence internal organizational resources and the customer to meet program deliverables.
- Actively seeks answers and encourages cross-functional collaboration to find solutions.
- Follow a “go and see” mentality to confirm and pursue a deep understanding of why.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
- 6 or more years of experience as a Sales Or Account Manager, with an Automotive Parts Company.
- J-OEM Sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing people.
- Capability to negotiate with OEM customers at all levels of customer authority.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in developing and presenting a business case at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates proficiency in understanding technical drawings, specifications for manufacturing, etc.
- Ability to understand finance and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of assigned customer systems.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Travel, up to 20%.
