AGC | ARG Supply Chain Manager – Operations, Procurement & Logistics, Grove City, OH
AGC Glass Company North America, located in Grove City, Ohio, is a world leader of automotive glass for the OEM and aftermarket industries and is part of the AGC Group located in the United States and abroad. We are searching for individuals to join our fast-paced, team environment.
Summary of Position:
The position is responsible for managing all the Supply Chain operations related to Warehouse Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, Logistics, for the ARG (Automotive Replacement Glass) Divisions. Position will set and maintain processes to ensure JSOX compliance and the successful execution of all functional areas to include, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, Freight and Logistics, Quality, Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, packaging, and inbound warehouse operations. Position is a primary Safety Champion for the Division and is responsible for implementing and communicating the ARG Safety Policy within the ARG group and our Supplier Partners.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management – Establish policy & procedures, inventory accuracy, analyze trends, and forecast demand to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Establish the Inventory Budget. Maximize turns while maintaining above 96% OTD & 99% Fill Rates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement inventory reduction strategies.
- Inventory Management – Develop and execute supply chain strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and goods. Responsible for ensuring all raw materials, supplies and finished goods are available to ensure sales and budget can be achieved within the lead-times, to support satisfactory delivery performance and financial results.
- Purchasing – Responsible for ensuring compliance with all JSOX, AGC, AANA, & ARG purchasing policies.
- Procurement – Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Supplier Performance – Responsible for ensuring that the global & domestic supply base is positioned to support all objectives & budgets. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Forecasting – Work with Sales to develop forecast and cost targets and strategies.
- Quality – Responsible for all aspects of supplier quality including supplier CAR resolutions & implementing Quality/Continuous improvement measures with suppliers.
- Service – Responsible for purchase order entry timeliness, quality, inventory management & demand / production forecasts and releases.
- Warehouse Operations – Responsible for the successful execution and management of all internal and external warehousing and 3PL operations. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all goods received
- Logistics – Ensure policies are in place to maximize service & manage freight costs.
- Finance – Responsible for the budget and financial performance for the assigned departments.
- Costs – Achieve all cost targets and negotiate cost and cost downs with suppliers
- Cash Flow – Responsible for the control of capital spending for operational & development activities.
- SAP/Mapics – Responsible for the system transactions into SAP/Mapics for Purchase Orders, Good Received, Inventory, Payable discrepancies, and other Supply Chain/Logisitcs transactions.
- Team management – ability to be a team player & to foster a commitment to teamwork among other associates in a small, cross-functional team environment. Develop Team Members to ensure a clear path for succession.
Desired Education, Skills and Experience:
- BA or BS degree with at least 5 years’ experience in operations management, supply chain, inventory / production control or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and proactive communication skills – verbal, written and formal presentations – with strong detail orientation.
- Excellent organizational, prioritizing, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong computer skills including SAP, MS Office, AS/400 and Excel Pivot Tables and Macros.
- Strong team player is essential.
- Minimum 30% overnight travel w/ some international travel. Must be able to get Passport and travel internationally.
- Automotive background desired with aftermarket glass experience a plus.
- SAP experience a plus.
