AGC | Production Specialist, Alabaster, AL

AGC Automotive Americas (AANA) is a leading supplier of automotive glazing for the OEM and aftermarket industries and is part of the AGC Group, the largest global glass supplier employing more than 50,000 worldwide in approximately 30 countries.

AGC Automotive located in Alabaster, AL is seeking a qualified Production Specialist. The Production Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to Production to ensure KPI’s are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and problem-solving leadership for specific process problems to ensure line Quality, Productivity, and Yield budget numbers are met
  • Lead and participate in departmental continuous improvement activities 
  • Implement safety improvements to the process
  • Collect and analyze production data (yield, scrap, etc.) and maintain accurate production reporting
  • Work with production staff to ensure that they are completing tasks correctly, safely, and on schedule
  • Assist Production Manager in strategic planning and on development plans for all associates
  • Provide assistance to the production supervisors when Production Manager is not onsite
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or related degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP Software related to: Production Data Transactions & Inventory Management preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, etc.
  • Basic to moderate computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Quality systems and ISO knowledge preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
