AGC Automotive Americas (AANA) is a leading supplier of automotive glazing for the OEM and aftermarket industries and is part of the AGC Group, the largest global glass supplier employing more than 50,000 worldwide in approximately 30 countries.

The QMS and Product Regulatory (Homologation) Coordinator provides technical guidance to the glass fabrication plant on regulatory requirements for existing and new safety glazing applications. This role leads the plant’s internal and external regulatory compliance audit program and works closely with the Corporate and Global Regulatory Team to provide technical assessments, interpret government regulations, and clarify new or changing requirements. The coordinator also leads and implements the plant’s QMS internal and external audit program, serves as the primary interface with the QMS Certification Body (IATF16949), and manages the plant’s document control system.

 

Location of Position: Elizabethtown, KY 

Ability to travel within the US. Expected up to 10% of travel during some months of high activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for safety glazing regulatory certification programs.
  • Provide technical interpretation of applicable standards and regulations related to safety glazing.
  • Support other AGC Automotive plants on regulatory matters and interface with regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory certification processes, including homologation activities.
  • Lead the plant’s internal and external regulatory compliance audit program, including planning, reporting results, and closing findings.
  • Lead the QMS audit program, including planning, reporting results, and closing findings.
  • Support plant process owners in correcting nonconformities identified during internal and external audits.
  • Support other AGC Automotive plants in conducting internal audits and serve as the primary contact for the certification body during audit activities.
  • Lead the plant through customer audits to ensure customer-specific requirements are understood and maintained in compliance.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. Engineering or relevant area of study
  • 5+ years professional experience in Quality assurance or laboratory, automotive preferred.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems
  • Critical thinking and ability to understand and incorporate external and internal factors into the Quality planning and implementation phases.
  • IATF 16946 Lead Auditor training
  • Understanding of QMS Customer Specific Requirements
  • Competence in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and experience with SharePoint a plus.
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
