AGC | Production – Staff, Bellefontaine, OH

AGC Glass Company North America, located in Bellefontaine, Ohio, fabricates high-quality automotive safety glass for automobile manufacturers located in the United States and abroad. We are searching for individuals who want to join our fast-paced, high-tech, team environment.

The Production – Staff will provide technical support to production by troubleshooting equipment and making appropriate adjustments to achieve maximum uptime.

Hiring for multiple shifts:

  • 2nd shift (3P-11P)
  • 3rd shift (11P-7A)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic inspections of product to identify defects that may be related to equipment.
  • Work with production associates to understand and resolve equipment-related problems
  • Support continuous improvement by leading KTA teams which will benefit associate development
  • Take appropriate measures to resolve equipment problems and keep equipment operating appropriately.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as appropriate.
  • Provide training and direction to production associates and team leads on making minor adjustments to equipment to maintain uptime.
  • Provide input for process, environmental and safety improvements
  • Provide backup as needed to fill vacancies within department
  • Follow safe practices to promote a safe work environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Document activities as required
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Educational & Experience Requirements/Preferences:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger or feel objects, reach with arms and hands
  • Must be able to lift and move 10 – 30 pounds on a periodic basis
  • Must be able to use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus ability for examining product
  • Must be able to work in heat and noise
  • Must have good eye-hand coordination
  • Must be able to work on feet for an 8 – 12 hour workday on any shift
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, moving objects/machinery, hazardous materials
